Prof. Frank Dinter wrote his thesis at the Plataforma Solar de Almería, Spain in 1986/87. He completed his Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing.) In Thermal Energy Storage Systems for CSP plants in 1992. He subsequently worked for a German energy utility company and held various positions there, including Head of Research and Development for the optimization of fossil fuel-fired power plants. In 2008 he rejoined solar energy as Director of the Solar Energy unit at RWE Innogy, Germany.
Frank was responsible for the operation of 25 photovoltaic plants in Germany and Spain and was technical director of “Andasol 3” (50 MW CSP plant in Spain) during the construction and operation phase.
From 2013 to 2017, Frank was Professor in CSP and leads the Solar Thermal Energy Research Group (STERG) at Stellenbosch University.
Since July 2017, Frank has worked for Fraunhofer Chile Research at the Center for Solar Energy Technologies (FCR-CSET). As of February 2018, he has held the position of Director of FCR-CSET.
Alejandro Zamorano

Alejandro Zamorano is responsible for the Chile subsidiary of SENER, and is in charge of the Business Development for Chile of the Energy and Processes and Infrastructure and Transportation areas of the subsidiary, based in Santiago de Chile, and specifically in the development of projects of energy (Renewables, Oil & Gas, Power & Industrial), where the company has developed and built renewable projects such as Biomass, WTE and above all Concentrating Solar Energy (CSP) with Thermal Storage in Europe, the United States, Morocco, South Africa, among others. Alejandro Zamorano has been collaborating with SENER in the area for more than three years.
He is a Commercial Engineer from the University of Chile, and has more than 25 years of professional experience in financial areas, marketing, strategic planning, general administration and business development, in various areas of the economy, such as the financial industry, construction materials. , games of chance and services.
Additionally, he participated in the development and implementation of some SME projects from various sectors and consultancies.

Miguel Méndez Trigo, Industrial Engineer from the Seville School of Engineering (Spain), PMP and postgraduate degrees in Project Management and Industrial Development from the Loyola University of Seville (Spain) and the Cape Town Business School (South Africa) ). He is currently the Director of Solar Technology at Abengoa, an international company that applies innovative technological solutions for sustainable development in the infrastructure, water and energy sectors, being the world leader in the development, design, construction and operation of energy plants in the latter sector. CSP technology, currently covering a market share of more than 35% of the total installed power worldwide.
With more than 10 years of international experience both in the development and construction of EPC projects with CSP technology, as well as in the development and continuous improvement of associated products, he is currently leading various development lines to consolidate CSP technology as the basis for a generation robust, sustainable, dispatchable and 100% renewable energy. This will make it possible to continue moving forward in the transformation of the energy market towards a more efficient, sustainable and renewable environment, a fundamental commitment of Abengoa in the last 20 years.
Gonzalo Marín

Gonzalo Marín Prado, a member of the board of directors, is a Civil Industrial Engineer from the Universidad de Desarrollo, with 8 years of national and international work experience. He is currently Sales Manager of Solar Sales at SQM, a world leader in the supply of Solar Sales and a pioneer in this application since the 90s, where he is responsible for worldwide sales and technical development of the nitrate salts used. in industrial applications, specifically in the generation of solar energy.
Cristián Sepúlveda

Economist, Commercial Engineer, with the academic degree of “Bachelor of International Administration” from Oregon State University (USA) and Engineer in Management Control, Diploma with the academic degree of “Bachelor of Sustainability and Environment”.
More than 18 years of experience in executive positions for different national and international companies, as well as in Government institutions, such as; Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Mining and Corporation for the Promotion of Production “Corfo” of Chile, currently serves as Executive Manager of the Solar Power Concentration Association – ACSP Chile.
