Abengoa, member of ACSP, the international company that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainability in the infrastructure, energy and water sectors, has participated one more year in the benchmark event for the Chinese solar thermal industry, CSP Plaza, this being one of the most important in the country.
This year, the event has focused on carbon neutrality, that is, on those actions aimed at achieving a zero-carbon footprint through a net result of zero emissions. In this sense, Abengoa, through its General Manager in China, Han Yanyi, has made a presentation in which it has shared with the attendees all its experience in hybridization of renewable technologies whose objective is precisely that carbon neutrality or decarbonization in the which the cycle of conferences is centered this year.
Thus, the company has been able to share its storage solutions (thermal, batteries and hydrogen) as well as the existing possibilities and those it has for the so-called hybridization of technologies: combined cycles and parabolic trough collector technology; photovoltaic plants with motors and batteries, and smart solar plants or intelligent solar plants in which solar thermal and photovoltaic energy, and BESS and TES batteries are combined, among other aspects.
This is not the first time that Abengoa has participated in this international benchmark event. In fact, in 2019, it received the CSP Technology Innovation Award, which recognized those companies that have achieved significant advances in terms of innovation and technological application. Specifically, Abengoa was awarded for its innovative work and excellent results in the new generation of parabolic trough collectors developed by Abengoa: the SpaceTube 8.2 ++. Likewise, in 2018 it received the CSP Globalization Contribution award, for its contribution and participation in the main CSP markets in the world, as well as for promoting the development of global solar thermal projects.
