After months of work between the Ministries of Energy and Labor, three new profiles for the construction stage of Concentrated Solar Power projects were approved, as reported by the Commission of the National System of Certification of Labor Competences, Chile Valora.
In this way, the specialties of solar field installer and maintenance manager, solar field operator, installers and maintenance managers of pumps and valves in molten salt tanks will be incorporated.
In this regard, Cristián Sepúlveda, executive manager of the Solar Power Concentration Association, pointed out that “this will allow attracting and developing human capital that works in the industry, since the labor skills of those who work in CSP projects will be formally recognized, thus valuing their knowledge and fostering continuous learning. We feel that this is a great way to enhance our human capital.”
It should be noted that these new profiles will be added to those created during the past year and that it has allowed the development of workers who currently belong to the team of the solar concentration plant, Cerro Dominador, located in the Antofagasta region.
